Rakibul (Honours 1st year), a brilliant student of Mirpur Bangla College, was seriously injured in police firing in Mirpur on August 5 while participating in the anti-discrimination movement. The bullet hit him below the navel and he is currently battling death at Suhrawardy Hospital. Rakibul's father is a daily laborer.
